Expertise

My research interests consistently focus on Spanish theater, although I consider dramatic texts from multiple temporal periods--spanning the medieval era through contemporary forms. I am presently revising two articles: one on the didactic connection between Juan Manuel and Juan Ruiz de Alarcón, particularly through an analysis of Alarcón's La verdad sospechosa and another on Valle-Inclán’s literary and literal usage of wolves. Most recently, I embarked on a book-length project on Albert Camus and his curious fascination with Spain.
